Facilities Officer

Department: Facilities

Location: Brighton, United Kingdom

Join our facilities team where you will play a key role ensuring that our company premises are kept safe and in a good state of repair at all times. You will provide effective support and take ownership of projects which will include managing the tender documents, the supervising, checking and co-ordinating the work of contractors. Key Responsibilities
  • Planning essential central services such as security maintenance, cleaning, waste-disposal and recycling
  • Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
  • Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives
  • Co-ordinating and leading one or more contractors to cover various areas of responsibility
  • Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels to lead on improvements
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
  • Providing support on all aspects of Health & Safety across our sites and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative derivatives
  • Carrying out periodic and necessary risk assessments, work station assessments and audits and delegating actions accordingly


Skills & Experience
  • Experience of working in a similar role within facilities management and some experience with Health Safety would be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritising skills are essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential, car owner would be advantageous as you will be required to travel to different sites

Software Engineer

Department: Development

Location:Brighton, United Kingdon

Join our software team based in Brighton where you will support the Principal engineer in their responsibility for the technical integrity of the Paxton portfolio. You will ensure the progression of project activities on a day to day basis, with a mentality for Test Driven Design methodologies. Your main focus will be that of developing and maintaining a suite services, features and tools. The role will offer someone to work with the latest technologies and develop your career to becoming a full stack developer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop existing tools and workflow, recommends areas for improvement
  • Enhance the product suite through pushing technology boundaries and providing innovative solutions
  • Investigate software defects as assigned and provide timely resolutions
  • Interacts with a team of software developers based internal and external to Paxton
  • Guides unit, integration, performance, stress and supports unit acceptance testing
  • Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents


Skills & Experience
  • Some proven experience working with C# AND SQL
  • Use of Test Driven Design methodologies
  • Experience in using Behaviour Driven Design techniques and working with Azure technologies is desirable
  • Developing software using WEB API, OWIN, JSON, Entity Framework, REST
  • Degree in computer science or relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Finance Assistant

Department: Finance

Location: Brighton, United Kingdom

Join our finance team based in our Brighton office where you will be responsible for delivering a world class service and to support the Groups; financial stability and growth. This role has a particular focus on processing purchase invoices for the Company and processing employee expenses through the expense system. Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for processing purchase invoices for Group companies (100 to 200 per week)
  • To undertake Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Act as the first point of contact for the finance team with regards to external suppliers and internal customers
  • Processing employees’ expenses with the Concur Expense Management System
  • Continual system improvement.


Skills & Experience
  • Strong Communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Some knowledge of how a finance functions operates in a business
  • Minimum of A level Maths.

Test Automation Developer

Department: Development

Join our software team based in Brighton where you will be required to drive and develop the suite of automated test programs on our green field projects, whilst ensuring other developers are aware and participating within this. You will be supporting the Principal Engineer in their responsibility for the technical integrity of the data access layer of our portfolio. Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Developer

Join our development team based in Brighton where you will be working on full stack development for one of our core products. The role will require you to perform coding in C#, JavaScript, Typescript and HTML5 to written technical specifications for new and existing features.

C Developer

Reception & Facilities Administrator

Department: Facilities

Location:Brighton, United Kingdon

Join our team based in our Brighton office where you will work closely across the Facilities and Reception functions to perform a variety of administrative and hospitality tasks across all sites. The Facilities and Reception Administrator is responsible for the management of facilities services and processes that support the visitor and contractor experience whilst maintaining H&S compliance.
  • To ensure the highest standards of Customer Service are constantly in place so that all visitors expectations are met and exceeded
  • Set up and clear meetings as and when required and deal with any hospitality requirements for these meetings
  • Assist the Facilities team in project and contract management by preparing documents for tender processes
  • Arrange travel, accommodation and entertainment for staff and visitors when requested
  • Admin tasks include booking Pool Cars, ordering Stationery, recording staff absence, deal with incoming and outgoing post, Installer and Literature Requests etc..
  • Assist in putting milk/fruit/snacks out in the kitchens on a daily basis
  • Managing invoices using our PO system ensuring contractors, vendors and suppliers are paid correctly and expenses are posted to specific codes for accurate budgeting.


Skills & Experience
  • Some administration and customer service experience is essential for the role
  • Some experience working in hospitality would be advantageous
  • Highly customer focused
  • Proactive and highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills – must be able to form effective working relationships with people at all levels
