Paxton10 Software Update Guide

v4.11 SR2 (4.11.9784.19271) – Resolution for features affected by recent Windows update

The latest version of Paxton10 includes a fix for the following issues:

  • Roll call reports: reports fail to generate when run manually or as part of a Triggers & Actions rule.
  • Hardware Management: the Hardware Management modal opens but does not populate devices. The devices themselves continue to operate as normal.
  • Event reports: the “Device Date/Time” column displays a Zulu/UTC timestamp instead of the correct time-zone-adjusted timestamp.

This update also includes a number of other improvements, enhancements and bug fixes.

To install this update, there is a fixed upgrade path based on the current version installed. You may need to do more than one update.

To check which version of the software is running, please follow these steps:

System Engineer software permissions are required to install the update.

  1. Click on the ‘System options’ icon in the top right corner of the Paxton10 software
  2. Open the ‘About’ tab
  3. Click ‘Check for updates’

Important note: After upgrading to v4.11 SR2 and logging in you may see an unrelated prompt to setup Secure Device Communications. This step is not required for the resolution to the issues above. You can return to this step later, to complete the Secure Device Communications setup.
