Future ready – What’s next for Paxton?

It was back in 1985 when Paxton began, and our growth over the past four decades reflects both the evolution of the security industry and our on-going commitment to manufacturing the products of tomorrow.

Read on to find out more about what is coming this year, and a bit about Paxton’s journey so far.

A history of innovation

What started as a business focused on a small range of access control products, including TOUCHLOCK, the very first product invented and brought to market by our Founder, Tony Ratcliffe, has grown into a provider of advanced, integrated security solutions. Today, our systems combine access control, video management and mobile technology, delivering smarter and more connected security to our customers.

Whilst adapting to the needs of an ever-evolving industry, our approach has remained unchanged: developing products that simplify complex technology and streamline usability. Whether networked access controlcombined access and videodoor entry or wireless door handles, our focus is on intuitive design, dependable performance, and real-world functionality. The quality we promise is that each one of our offerings is built to last, represented by the Paxton standard 5-year warranty.

British manufacturing, global outlook

Our British heritage plays a central role in shaping our strategy and operations. With roots in Sussex stretching back more than 40 years, we continue to design, develop and manufacture our products in the UK, at our Brighton and Eastbourne facilities.

Our goal is to remain as connected to the people who use our technology as we can. Through talking directly and regularly to our installers, we’re able to gain real-world feedback and make informed decisions before taking our next steps. With our research, development, manufacturing, and customer support teams working closely together day-to-day, this allows us to maintain the high-quality solutions we promise and respond swiftly to the needs of our customers.

This philosophy also guides our international growth. We invest directly in the markets we provide for, with our U.S. headquarters in Greenville, South Carolina, MENA headquarters in Dubai, UAE, and Benelux headquarters in Breda, Netherlands, we’re able to provide a strong local presence. We also have two Experience Centres in Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa, as well as teams of skilled representatives on the ground in France and Germany. This allows us to not only build closer relationships with our installers in these markets, but provide the infrastructure needed to serve them effectively, including interactive training sessions and dedicated customer support.

Our vision for the future

Looking ahead, our long-term vision focuses on continued innovation while staying true to our founding principles. Investment in cloud-based systems and mobile technology is helping us create smarter, more connected security solutions that meet the changing needs of modern buildings.

Simultaneously, we’re mindful of nurturing the next generation of security professionals. We support the development of our talented people within the company through internal training and guidance, we contribute to external learning opportunities through our partnership with the Skills for Security apprenticeship programme, and run regular, free of charge, in-person product training sessions for installers with our expert training team.

The next phase of our journey is centred on growth with purpose – providing smart, simple, and reliable security technology that is built to protect, while continuing to provide our customers with world-class support.
