PaxLock operating modes
Networked or standalone, which is right for you?
Non-networked
(Standalone PaxLock)
PaxLock Pro can be used without a network in standalone mode – ideal for single doors, or sites that do not require a network or the additional functionality of an online system. This simpler solution requires just a PaxLock Pro door handle (and a pack of access cards or keyfobs). Unlike a networked system, a standalone system is programmed at each door.
Hardware required: door handle and cards/tokens
Networked
(Net2)
PaxLock Pro can be used as part of a Net2 access control system. This means centralised management from a PC, and the benefit of a range of additional features that come with Net2 including event reporting, remote management and third party system integration.
Hardware required: door handle, Net2Air Bridge (and Net2 installed on server PC)
How it works
PaxLock is access control in a wireless door handle, that works standalone or alongside our Net2 and Paxton10 networked access control systems.
The design is compatible with any DIN standard lock for a quick and simple installation. Its smart, compact appearance and standalone or networked operation means it can be used in a broad range of applications.
When used with Net2, the PaxLock Pro communicates with the Net2 server PC using the low power and secure wireless technology of Net2Air. PaxLock Pro is designed for use with Net2Air Bridges to give the advantages of a wireless networked access control system.
The PaxLock Pro units read multi-format token technology, including Paxton, MIFARE®, and HID™ 125kHz Proximity tokens*.
*When enabled using Genuine HID Technology™
