About – Solo is a phone-based, cloud-hosted access control system; which is created and managed from the Paxton Solo app. With Solo, your phone is the system and the key.

The Solo – DoorTag is an NFC device that replaces a traditional access control reader. When a compatible smartphone, installed with the Paxton Solo app, is presented to the DoorTag, authorised personnel can gain access through the Solo controlled door.

The Solo – DoorTag is a passive device, requiring no power or wiring. It is added to the system via the Paxton Solo app.

Installation – the Solo – DoorTag can be mounted on practically any surface using the included self-adhesive pads or mounting screws. To support the communication between the phone and the controller, the DoorTag should be installed within a 6m radius of the Solo – Controller.

Operation – Present a compatible smartphone installed with the Paxton Solo app to the DoorTag to gain access. The DoorTag does not include any LED indicators, communication and access granted/denied information will be presented on the phone. All system activity, including access granted or denied events are available for System Engineers and Token Administrator user types to view in the Paxton Solo app.

Paxton Solo app compatibility: To ensure the best possible experience and up-to-date security, Paxton mobile apps support the latest major versions of iOS and Android, as well as the two preceding releases. Devices running older versions may remain compatible, but are not officially supported by Paxton.
