What is the Paxton Scholarship?
We launched the programme back in 2017 and continue to run it annually for Sussex based students.
It has been created for second year STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics), undergraduates studying at the universities of Brighton and Sussex.
Successful applicants get a three-month paid summer internship working on live engineering and development projects, career guidance, and £10,000 funding towards their final year of study.
Many of our previous scholars have gone on to have rewarding careers here at Paxton.

How does the application process work?
All interested students are required to attend the Paxton Scholarship Open Day which takes place each November.
Here you will meet our talented engineers and product developers, find out about the technology we create, and experience the culture of working life at Paxton.
Free food from our on-site café is provided for all attendees.
After the Open Day, applicants are invited to complete an application pack, and if successful, attend an assessment day in December which involves team building games, technical tasks, and interviews with our Development team.
The successful scholars are announced in December.

Sam Peace, Software Test Engineer at Paxton, was a computer science student at the University of Brighton in 2020. He was due to take part in Paxton’s annual scholarship programme when his placement got cancelled due to pandemic social restrictions.
He completed his third year of study remotely like many UK undergraduates at the time, and despite these unexpected and challenging circumstances, Sam secured a 1st class honours degree and later a permanent with us.
