Paxton joins forces with Skills for Security and Texecom to help installers navigate Martyn’s Law
Paxton, Skills for Security, and Texecom are hosting a free webinar for security installers on 1 October 2026, from 10:30am to 11:45am. The session will explore what Martyn’s Law could mean for customers and how access control, intruder detection, and lockdown systems can work together.
Martyn’s Law is designed to improve preparedness and protection against terrorist attacks at qualifying premises and events. The legislation, formally known as the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, received Royal Assent on 3rd April 2025.
The Act has a minimum 24-month implementation period, with the legislation expected to come into force in spring 2027. Organisations within its scope will need to assess their venues for terrorism risks and implement proportionate protective measures.

- Practical considerations when specifying lockdown systems
- How changing security requirements could create new opportunities for installers
