Join our creative Communications and Events team based in our Brighton office and help us continue to build the global Paxton brand. Work alongside our team of marketing, PR, graphic design, and video production professionals to engage our audiences across a range of channels.
This opportunity will have a global remit with the successful candidate helping to develop Paxton’s reputation and brand presence in numerous overseas territories across a wide range of media platforms.
- Lead Paxton’s PR programme, sourcing compelling stories to support company objectives and gain coverage in trade, local and national press
- Manage and maintain Paxton’s global PR strategy with support from the Divisional Director of Communications and the Marketing Communications Manager
- Research new media contacts, clients, sector opportunities and competition and develop and maintain a database of editorial and advertising media contacts. Recommend Paxton for awards entries and initiate media opportunities including print, broadcast interviews and feature stories
- Keep abreast of the latest news, with attention to stories relevant to Paxton and share relevant news with interested parties, notably the Communications team and relevant stakeholders
- Media monitoring – track all Paxton’s coverage and to include clippings. Ensure issues that could lead to crisis are flagged and communicated according to the crisis communications plan
- Occasional ad hoc travel, out of normal working hours to coordinate and attend events.
Requirements
- Some experience in a similar role is essential
- Relevant degree in Journalism, English Lit or similar is desirable
- The Ability to work under pressure running multiple projects from inception to delivery
- Ability to be highly creative and imaginative
- Experience of working in the US desirable
- Other languages – French and German desirable.
