Paxton10 v4.3 Software Update

This latest update to the Paxton10 system delivers significant improvements to the user experience. Paxton10 v4.3 combines all the improvement, bug fixes and feature enhancements from the previous 19 service releases, in one update.

  • Improvements to the Binding and Discovery process for Controllers, Cameras, PaxLocks and Entry
  • Improvements when recording camera footage to a NAS drive
  • Improvements to the Controller Firmware Update process

IMPORTANT

Sites with PaxLocks that have updated from a version older than 4.1 SR7 will need to recommission their site by rebinding their controllers, wireless connectors and PaxLocks.

Multi-Site

  • Devices located on a different site to the server will now work correctly from the time set on the server instead of UTC
  • Fixed an issue that could cause controllers on a different site to the server to go offline and not respond after a software update

  • Fixed an issue that would cause the columns to be misaligned

Ribbon

  • Fixed an issue that would cause some items to be greyed out incorrectly until they were hovered over

The CSV Import tool has been removed from Paxton10 temporarily, as it did not meet our customer experience expectations. We are developing a replacement feature that will be available in due course. We will update you when this feature becomes available.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause events from PaxLocks to have the wrong date/time
  • Improvements to the speed that the PaxLock database updates after adding users
  • Improvements have been made to the PaxLock database to minimise the chance of users being incorrectly denied access

Important 

When adding a new RTSP camera to Paxton10 in V4.2 SR5, the motion sensitivity will default to 0% resulting in no footage being recorded. Please change this setting to allow footage to record

  • Fixed an issue that caused Paxton10 cameras to lose communication with the server if their IPv4 address changed
  • Fixed an issue that caused certain models of Paxton10 cameras to fail to work with NAS drives
