Paxton Flex to Support Staff and Installers Amid Coronavirus

By Gareth O’Hara, Chief Sales Officer

At Paxton we have put together an action plan to promote good health and wellbeing for our employees and customers during the Coronavirus pandemic. We are open for business and remain fully functional to support installers to help their businesses continue prospering. Our Senior Management Team have taken steps to facilitate remote working and social distancing to minimise the impact of the virus on the business and maintain our high level of customer service.

We understand that for many installers this will be a worrying time for future and current projects, but we want to make sure our customers know how they can access our guidance, help and resources.

Our Sales and Technical Support are still available either online or at the end of a phone with no disruption to normal service. We would also like to reassure all customers that the Paxton supply chain remains strong and mostly unaffected by the virus. At this stage there is no significant delay placing orders of Paxton products.

To further support our customers and keep our employees safe, many Paxton staff are now working from home and we are confident that you’ll see little difference in working with us. As a company we have invested in remote technology and equipment to reduce the impact and maintain productivity.

We’ve had great feedback from our team that this is indeed working;

Alex Slater, our Product Support Team Leader, says: “Here at Paxton we have the technology in place to continue providing world class customer support remotely. Taking calls and responding to customer emails from home makes me feel like I am being responsible by not putting others at risk whilst working to the highest possible standards. As a team we are being agile and flexible with the situation to keep things running as smoothly as possible and look after our installers during this testing and difficult time.”

For our customers that require training for specific upcoming installations, all face to face training has been postponed and switched out for online training sessions instead. We have even made our online training modules completely free for a month to make it easy for installers to get started. We’ve had an incredible response to this offer, with hundreds of installers signing up to take classes already. You can sign up today for modules including:

  • Door entry with Net2 access control
  • Wireless access control
  • Net2 plus
  • Net2 access control software
  • Paxton10 access & video

Our Global Training Manager, Steven Woodbridge said: “Rolling out additional training resources has been a key priority for the team, and we have seen a huge increase in the number of installers using our training portal. We are also keen to support those who need tailored training sessions and encourage them to make contact so we can help them plan accordingly and offer a virtual classroom experience with a dedicated teacher”.

Additionally, we have developed an online resource of all our materials in one place, an essential toolkit, making it simple for our customers to get access to the Paxton knowledge base, tutorial videos, case studies and product literature. (For resources follow this link)

We consider ourselves to be an innovative and forward thinking technology company with a track record in responding dynamically to changing events. We are monitoring the situation daily and will adapt our working practices to support and offer guidance to our valued customers throughout the pandemic. We look forward to working with all our partners through this and want to thank our customers and incredible team for their ongoing support, enthusiasm and flexibility.

Please be reassured that despite stay-at-home measures, we are open for business and ready to help in whatever way you need.”
