The Paxton Green Team Leads the Launch of Our First Company Environmental Policy

18th March 2024

The Paxton Green Team was formed in 2023 to drive our journey to net zero. Thanks to the team’s dedication and support, we launched the first Paxton Environmental Policy earlier this year.

At Paxton, we aim for a world-class approach in all that we do and to us that means always striving for continuous improvement.

Katie Millis-Ward, Divisional Director of Communications, who is part of the Paxton Green Team said: “Paxton are a modern, forward-thinking company. We want to be around and thriving in 100 years’ time, for that to happen, the world we live in must also be thriving.

“We recognise our impact on the environment, it matters to us, our colleagues, and our customers. Our environmental policy is a statement of intent, to recognise what we are doing now and the plans we have for the future to limit our impact and improve our carbon footprint.”

While we embark on our net zero plan; to date, we have already made many environmentally conscious decisions in how we do business.

The Green Team is a group of Paxton professionals from across the company, fully trained on carbon literacy, driving our journey to net zero.

Barry Allchin, Supply Chain Quality Improvement Lead, said: “I joined the Green Team to help promote and drive further environmental improvements within Paxton.

“The Environmental Policy enables us to demonstrate to our colleagues and customers our commitment in working towards a more environmentally conscious way and underlies the great work we already do at Paxton. It also provides our suppliers a vision on our core values and commitment in working towards creating a better planet for everyone.”

Katie Millis-Ward said: “It means so much to the Green Team to deliver Paxton’s first Environmental Policy, we are a group that knows that real change at Paxton isn’t just possible, it is welcomed and essential to the success of the company. We are all so passionate and fully committed to moving forward on this.”

Tom Saunders, Facilities Manager, from the Green Team said: “We all have a responsibility to reduce the impact of human activities on our ecosystem. It is the right thing to do for now and our future generations.

“With the Environmental Policy, we can now apply objectives and targets to measure our progress to net zero.”
