Reducing carbon emissions
Since establishing our 2022 baseline, we’ve reduced our market-based carbon emissions by 41%, including a further 4.4% reduction during 2024, through practical improvements across our business.
We work with Carbon Footprint Ltd to measure and manage our emissions. Where emissions cannot yet be eliminated, we support independently verified carbon reduction projects as part of our wider carbon management approach.
Our long-term target is a 94.1% reduction in absolute market-based emissions by 2041, achieved through continued practical improvements across our operations.

Supporting this commitment is our dedicated Paxton Green Team. They are trained in carbon literacy and work across the business to identify opportunities to reduce Paxton’s environmental impact and support our long-term sustainability and carbon reduction goals.

Our workspace
- We operate zero waste to landfill of general waste at our UK sites
- Our energy saving security systems are installed across our sites to control lighting
- On-site, uniquely designed inhouse zero waste café, where all packaging is biodegradable
Renewable energy
- Switched to 100% renewable energy tariffs on all UK premises
- Invested in solar panels on our newest UK premise, the Paxton Electronics Centre
- Continue to invest in renewable technology across Paxton’s facilities

- Our systems help save energy by switching utilities off when a building is empty
- We believe in limiting the need for our printed materials, which are fully recyclable
Manufacturing
Shipping & travel
- Continued transition from air freight to sea freight for global product and component shipments, reducing air freight emissions by 66% and overall freight emissions by 61%.
- Continued review of travel and transportation policies, with 98% of the company fleet now electric or hybrid vehicles.
